Website pricing, ownership and what it costs to keep running
Flat prices, said out loud, before you know me. Half to start, half at launch. What follows is the whole cost picture — the build, what you own afterward, and what it costs to keep running once I hand it over.
The four options
Starter Site
$300
One page. Your logo, colors, up to 4 services, About section, click-to-call, contact form, service area, search title and description, domain and SSL setup, one round of minor revisions.
Working Site
$1,500
Up to 5 pages. Full copywriting from one intake call, photo gallery and editing, Google Business Profile connection, on-page SEO, analytics, privacy and terms pages, one round of revisions. Live in about two weeks.
Signature Site
$4,500
Everything in the Working Site plus up to 12 pages, original creative direction and art, on-site photo and video direction, service or product detail pages, booking, scheduling or payment links, and three rounds of revisions.
Website Care — $129 / month, optional
Hosting, SSL, backups and updates, unlimited small edits, seasonal and promotional changes, a monthly traffic summary, and same-day response during business hours. Cancel any month. This buys my time, not your website — you never need it to keep your site, and the site is yours either way.
Start small, upgrade later
A Starter Site can grow into a Working Site or Signature Site without starting over. Upgrade within 90 days and the $300 is credited toward the larger build. Nobody is buying a disposable website.
What you own, and what you rent
This distinction is worth getting right, because a lot of web companies blur it.
- The website is yours. Every file and every page. If we part ways it goes with you.
- The domain is yours. Registered in your name, not mine.
- The hosting is under your control. Nobody owns hosting — it is a service you pay a host for. The account goes in your name and stays there.
Ongoing costs if you skip the Care Plan
Domain renewal is usually $15–$25 a year, billed by your registrar. Hosting for a site this size is typically free to about $20 a month depending on traffic, billed by your host. Those are not my fees and they do not come to me — I set the accounts up in your name and show you exactly where the bills come from.
Nothing about the build is a subscription. There is no required monthly website contract, and no situation where your site goes dark because you stopped paying me.
What is not included
The Starter Site is built from material you supply. Full copywriting from scratch, logo creation, custom photography, large galleries, multiple service or location pages, blogs, ecommerce, advanced SEO campaigns, booking and payment systems, custom integrations, and extensive revisions belong to the larger builds. I will clean up and professionally present what you send me at any tier.
Work outside the agreed scope is quoted before it is done. Nothing gets added to an invoice without your approval first.
How payment works
Half of the project fee before work begins, half at launch. Care Plan fees, if you choose them, are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at the end of any billing month. Full terms are here.
